Democracy - For The People, By The People

We have always been so proud of us being Indian, and of India being a democratic country. Ever boastful of our rights, of our power to elect and decide the fate of our country. We have shown strong emotions on every political, economic and social event that happened around us. We promote and praise NGOs that work for the betterment of under-privileged. Yes, we are a true democracy in every sense of it.

Yes, we do crib about social injustice and corruption that has crept in. We wonder what went wrong and what should be done. Let’s take a step back and look at it. Let’s look at the meaning of democracy and the premise it sets up. Let’s for once be truly proud and appreciate our constitution and the favours it has given to all of us.


Let us re-iterate our fundamental rights, as it should mean to me:

Right to Equality: “I am equal as any other person and so has a right to demand equal favours given to it irrespective of its beliefs, or abilities”.

Right to Freedom: “I am free and thus demand a favour to condemn and stand against any one who restricts my freedom. I am free to choose the way I want to live and where I want to live and thus demand that I be provided the necessities to do so.”

Right Against Exploitation: “I have to stand against any exploitation and thus demand a favour to punish the one who exploits. The specifics of exploitation be left to a moral court, with a basic outline as the gain of individual or small group of people as against the masses.(minority rights)”

Right to Freedom of Religion: “I should uphold my beliefs and thus demand a favour to denounce any one who contradicts it, and has the audacity to say it on my face.”

Cultural and Educational Rights: “I have the right to reciprocate by beliefs and thus demand a favour to help spread it. I demand a favour of admission to any house of knowledge, and thus demand a favour to understand my need and ability.”

Right to Constitutional Remedies: “I should be given a favour of justice against anyone who breaches my fundamental rights. Against the one who doesn’t treat me as equal or exploit me.”

Right to Property: “I have the right to own, and should always be willing to give it up for public purposes. And thus demand a right over any property that can be made to public use.”

The only word where you would have doubted my intentions is when I attached “demand a favour” with every sentence I have used. But isn’t it true. Doesn’t it come as a part of human nature and so is very natural to be in a constitution, by the people and for them? We always tend to create an exception for the under-privileged. We always tend to doubt anyone who has done more than average. Stand united against him to protect our fundamental right to live.

Favour, is what we demand in a democracy. Not as a bribe, but as a right. It is our fundamental right to live and hence no one can ask a “Why” against it. We have earned it because we are born as a human being. It is the duty of all to provide me a living. The one who is capable is not because of his will, intelligence or virtue. It is because I have given him the liberty by not matching or exceeding his abilities. It is I who has chosen to be average and thus provided him a chance to be above average. He has not earned it, but was there at the right time and right place, again not because of his virtues but luck. We cannot accept that someone within our reach has exceeded our abilities. We always denounce one who does not acknowledge us, because we demand an acknowledgement as a right for his success. We always tend to hide behind the screen of social equality to hide our own failures and for not giving us a chance to reach for our dreams. We demand the one with abilities to compare with us. We never ask or expect them to deal with us in anyway but to repay what they have earned from the society back to it.

Anyone famous should give us a right to peep into their life and expect the same to be done by him. We ask then to stand naked as we do in front of them. The problem comes when we encounter someone with lesser abilities than ourselves and he demands the same from us. It is then that we cry foul and start talking.


When choosing our representatives we do the same. The abilities or virtues of a human being do not matter because we cannot see through it. Abilities are nothing but a twist of fate that can usher on anyone and so should be discounted. Virtues are views and change from one to another. The one who denounces someone whom we are not able to condemn openly is virtuous. We expect our leaders to be human and so should be prone to human emotions and errors. We expect a promise of something that we have not earned, without realizing that it is taken away from someone who has earned it.

This is the basic premise set by democracy. A democracy is only as good as the people who make it, only as virtuous as its constituents. If we demand a favor by definition we should be ready to give it. We cannot allow someone to take anything from anyone unless we can volunteer the same from our side. We cannot hate someone for earning more than us unless asking the poorer to condemn us. A relation where one accepts without offering something cannot be real. It can only lead to a democracy like ours, created by us. What is given to us as favors is nothing but a small portion of what is taken away from us.

Let us analyze and see whether some of these events or thoughts have there roots in the way we define fundamental rights and where do they contradict with the way they are stated in constitution. Let us see how we have used the power called constitution

Partition: Well one may argue the role of constitutional rights in partition, But as I see it, it is one event which has its roots deep within. It tried to impart every single right to everyone, Right to Equality, Freedom and Religion. It is even more dangerous as it was done on morality of doing the right thing, justified by sacrifice. Sacrifice has always been the single most indicators of morality and being right.

Reservations: Unearned preferences given to backward classes in the name of equalizing status and in repayment against injustice done to them for generations is a straight forward noncompliance of the first and the very basic right to equality. It clearly shows why a democracy can never give equal rights. The irony is that it is done in the name of these fundamental rights and we believe in it.

Demand for separate states/ formation of Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh: Why do we need to have different states if it is our right to move, settle and earn in any part of the country. The demand for new states does not come out of the need of administration but as public revolutions and a cry for a state of there own. Isn’t it a mockery of the right to freedom? Certain political parties and groups oppose others to live and sustain in some part of country in full sunlight solely on the basis of their origin.

Licence Raj: For more than 4 decades after independence, we have seen the full wrath of licence Raj; it looted till there was not enough left. Although regulations are much reduced, it has left a permanent scar on psychology and philosophy of economics rather than economy of India as such. The crime once again done in the name of protection of public and supporting indigenous industries, saving right to freedom and against exploitation. It is one "overbearing, unfair, undemocratic system" gift of democracy.

The list is endless and I will continue to bring up the points and this blog has become big enough. So to conclude do we really understand the meaning of democracy and where is the current form leading us.

Time For Action

My pain on State of Affairs in India has not yet eased. In fact it has become worse. I have answered so many why’s to me and they all point to one place, The Leadership. It’s not the corruption or lack of will, but a lack of vision. A vision that none of the political parties have shown.

The root of the problem is in the quality of Indians, and in the attitude to adjust. The problem is in how we perceived independence and pampered the generation next. We believe we own this nation and have the right to exploit. We do not think twice before invading others space. The problem is not in being selfish, but in being foolish.

We demand favors, not as debts but as right, never ever thinking of repaying it. We don’t see the taxes we pay as a payment towards services or investment for a better tomorrow, but as a ransom paid to a mafia and are ok as nothing can be done.

In the name of equality we have created the best case of inequality. In the name of promoting talent we have made a system of awarding non-performers. Clearly something was wrong in the way Leaders have led the way.

Now let’s directly address the specifics:

Q: Repelling terrorists is another question but why has our government failed to address problem of local riots and communal unrest that have happened periodically in different parts of India.

A: The way I see it, most riots are catalyzed by employing local goons that live on unrest. These are mainly people who want to use force against week to live through. They are not concerned about the issue but are paid to do so to fulfill selfish aim for a few. Many are a result of revolution by people who have been oppressed for ages. A few incidents simply used the fuel of fear and aimlessness.

Q: Why do many Indians prefer to work in US UK and other countries?
A: This has little to do with patriotism or lack of it. In fact patriotism sometimes holds us back. Infrastructure and opportunities do form part of the argument but it’s mostly the lifestyle and the social environment that has attracted people. Esthetics of a place gives a big impression. The onus to keep our city, state and country livable is on every citizen and blame cannot be passed to anyone else. It is often said as a joke that “In US you can kiss your girl in the middle of a road but you cannot spit and pee. But in India it’s the other way round.” Yes government can impose penalties but it cannot be corrected if notconsidered by everyone else.

Look at the relative number of beggars on street. In India they feed on pity whereas in many other places people do road shows or offer services for public and thus accept what people feel like giving. They do not beg but they earn it. It’s a difference in attitude. Well one may advocate that the attitude itself is dependent on relative maturity and wealth of society. A country where everyone is stomach full can afford to chase dream and have the ‘right’ attitude.

When addressing these problems I tried to think of possible solution. Of many things one that is most needed is the change in attitude. We need an attitude to support ourselves, to deny any pity, to consume only what we earn, to stop undermining others and respect everyone for their ability and to stop the use of force of any kind.

To achieve this we need to take out the parasites. Those who do not want to produce those who need aid, not circumstantially but because that’s the only way they know to survive. We need to distinguish between the responsible and the not. But who has the right to do so?Well without a court to do so, we can say that those who cannot take care of themselves cannot support a family. So unless one proves worthy of supporting self should not be allowed to have a family. But how do you ensure that. Again it may be as simple by insuring that if the family cannot do so government can do so without taxpayers sharing the burden. This can be done by enforcing to buy a compulsory insurance by couples before having there first child, and let the insurance companies work out the details. Stop distributing free/subsidized rations. Deal use of any kind of force very strictly. Yes I am suggesting that let government be the one who controls all the force. Let police be the only and ultimate mafia.

So what happens to sick, old and disabled. Well it’s too simple and the most difficult to answer. Because the answer comes out of natural logic and opposes the age old habit of ours to show pity. Let different sections of society have their definitions and support who they want. Let them have their own criteria and pay for it. Different groups can support one or more NGOs and decide to support and pay for who they want to. It will promote one to save for future and in times of trouble, and will make one more responsible towards the society. This will deny a few worthy but will create a strong bonded society in a longer run.

We can then channelize our energy in giving proper infrastructure and opportunities of growth, without bias, let the best one grab the opportunity. Yes a lot will perish in this and only worthy will survive to live, but isn’t it the way it should be. Shouldn’t we just care and nourish for the future, led by the present and respect our past. It will ensure the future to groom in a competitive environment without worry. It will make one live for self and family and thus help the whole nation. It will give one time and resources to enjoy retirement. The one not willing to live will not be able to live. It will then make the administrators to deliver results and outperform their promises to survive.

It just needs a resolve on our part to:
Not give-in to the ‘OK’ attitude.
Not accept what we have not earned.
Pay for what we take from society.
Not allow someone to take something it has not earned.

Now the question is : Are we willing to do so?

patriotism is like charity -- it begins at home.

Professionalism : The meaning of this word has changed to me over time. When I passed out of college I wanted to be a professional, I believed it means someone who has an attitude to bring effectiveness and efficiency. Unfortunately it only means someone who does not have a heart, emotionless creatures trained to follow standard set of procedures which they themselves may not believe in.

 If I have to compare our “free media” and politicians, there is at least one thing in common. They are both hardcore professionals, the only difference may be that they have different rule books and code of conduct. Both are equally heartless and ruthless. This became all the more evident after November 26^th.  

The Tag “Breaking News” Has become as annoying and meaningless as speeches of politicians. When Government, opposition, common and uncommon should all have look concerned and united. They all looked at it as opportunity. For some it was an opportunity to ask for resignations while for others it is there chance to be CM. If few have shown insensitivity by visiting the “Wrecked Palace” to visualize climax of a film, others have ensured they make it an issue that takes priority over all.

After 26^th I have been asking these questions to me.

Is this an attack by Pakistan and should we attack them back?

Unlike the popular, and my initial, reaction I would say, no. I too believe that these organizations are the pets that the masters can no longer control. It should not be mistaken with a cancer which goes off with the patient. It will just transfer its roots. The country which can help the most is the one who helped them grow in there backyards. We need to pressurize and persuade Pakistan to help eradicate them. We should look at the facts that now these organizations are biting there own masters more then they have barked at us.

Is this terrorism preached by Islam?

Well, no straight forward answers. But if I have to be precise, the religion is certainly used as a tool. Not most Muslims are terrorists but unfortunately most terrorists believe they are Muslims. They believe they are doing it for Islam. I really appreciate many Islamic organizations which have come out after the attacks and shed tears and shown resolve to fight terrorism. It hurts when I see my Muslim friends lower there eyes in shame, because they feel guilty, as these people have shared the same religion. We should also understand that the bullets that take life do not ask religion.

Are our politicians at fault and should we ask them to resign?

Fault Yes, Resignations No. Till now I have always tried to pick lesser of the evils, but no more. At least on this subject I am pretty clear in my head. Resignation of Home Minister or CM and getting a new one is not a solution in fact it is a distraction that should not have happened. All common and uncommon should participate in devising a system that can bring accountability and transparency. I want to remind you all what happened on 22^nd of July, when the MPs flashed money in the parliament. Irrespective of whether it’s true or not, it is a bigger shame and threat than the attack by outsiders. These were our very own representatives. The outburst of Narayan Rane after not getting the chair “Post of CM Maharashtra” was another act. It seamed like for him what ever happened was nothing but just another opportunity. At least here I should mention the name of “Raj Thakre” and “Shiv Sena Leaders” who chose to keep quite and not trying any of the political gimmicks. I have seen a few ambulances sponsored by MNS and Shiv Sena helping people that day. Although I would love to ask him if he still think Mumbai should not welcome people from other parts of India. Has this changed him from a politician to a human, an Indian, a Mumbaikar. Well I guess it would be clear as soon as he opens his mouth.

We need a change in the overall legislative system. Judicial, Police should all get a overhauling. We need a system that promotes Nationalism rather than Partyism. We need to get a structure where performance of ministers can be evaluated on a quarterly basis. Office holders should have the right qualifications and experience. Accountability should come in. Ministers swapping loyalties, having a criminal record, with foul language, and those who misuse government machinery for personal or political use should be trialed in the court of Law and should not be allowed to contest again. Well unfortunately this would mean 90% pink slips.

Let us not mourn 26^th of Nov, but celebrate it as a Day when a Nation awoke. Let us make proud all the Martyrs and our brothers and sisters who lost there lives or loved ones. Let the spark that has ignited simultaneously in our heart, not faze out. Please do not waste your anger out on streets in protests, keep it within and channelize it constructively to form a revolution. We should have woken up a long back, but lets not waste this one. Let us throw out the fear and start asking questions. Only the right Questions

Another day to forget

Aftermath the mumbai terror attack on Taj, Oberoi, CST and Nariman House where 10 youths took the whole city in there hands, killing people at will:

Once more Nothing but Regret and Shame. Not only politicians but Media and even the common man who seem most enraged are trying to take a bite out of it. The blame game is on. The praise game is on. Its the time when we should shut up and let the actions speak. Its an absolute disgrace. 

Yes, whatever happened should not have happened. But shouldn't we make sure that this doesn't happen again. the memories of earlier bomb blasts though out the nation hasn't even faded and we get this. We should think why these youths didn't had any fear in there eyes. Did they believed that they will leave alive after the mayhem or were they convinced that the act is justified and had a purpose more than there lives. 

Its an absolute shame. Shame to everyone, even to the military organisations who did this. I Would be very thankful to those young militants if this incident can really bring some change in the overall system, which seams very unlikely. If you look closely its a lose - lose situation for those terrorist organisations. In a country were people fight over cast, religion, state they belong, its a waste for these organisations to spend so much money and human life. We are barbarians, Not even close to be called a sensitive society.  If the incident brings out a change, no one could have done better in uniting the nation. If not no one is shedding a tear. Utter waste and shame for achieving nothing.

I wish at the time of this attack all our blabbering Netas were there at Taj. I have proven that i am a part of this nation as all i will do is forget this day and continue as if nothing has happened. Playing the blame game. Its an amusement like a movie and will stay in my memories like that. Like an action thriller. Who cares if this movie had live characters than actors. So this is all before i forget it all.

Re - Curse - Un

I was thinking of what changed from yesteryears. The days of the kings, the revolutions, struggle for independence. The era of hunters, the Alexander’s, the era of wars between kingdoms and the world wars. It looks the same, at least the operating system, Just the UI and hardware changed. Pace has changed, the clock is ticking faster. Bullets travel faster than the arrows and so do the emails than pigeons and postmen.

We tend to live in a world that we create for ourselves, a world with a 3D virtual reality glasses fixed on our eyes. We interpret how we want, define on what we know and act on what we believe. We want what we never need, know what is not real and believe what was never ours. And we have built a complete world out of it, a world that we constantly want to change.

This is not something that has evolved. In fact this is the only thing that remained unchanged in all the evolution cycles. This is how an intellectual life is defined. Intelligence is all about proving, proving supremacy. It’s not about asking why, but in making one ask that question.

Well this time it’s not about individuals, although it always gets back to it. The pace with it brought lack of patience or acceptance. The world has gone digital. Societies cannot bend, they either have to be accepted or be broken. Even the bones are not flexible anymore. Everyone is either gratifying or killing.

Lets be more specific, point at events, the recent ones. The twists and turns, allegations and video tapes, the WIN on trust vote in parliament on 22^nd July.

Series of bomb blasts in various cities across country. Enough questions asked, both socially and individually. People stand hurt and ashamed, powerless. Soon the feelings will dissolve. May be a few will do their bit. No matter how loud we say that we don’t like war, the fact remains. We are at war, war against philosophy, against classification, against beliefs, against social structure, war against war.

No matter against what but if we are at war then we are doing just what we stand against. We tend to find the cure without knowing the disease. A war against the symptoms. Radicals/ extremists or more commonly known as terrorists put in more efforts and focus than the one who are talking. There has to be a source to such undivided dedication.

The rules of the game are clear. Rule or be ruled. Everything is there to satisfy the pride of an individual or a group or majority. It’s a design that the creator (we) made to satisfy our own desires. Its not about religion, it never was. It’s all about human senses, their ego, their fantasies and unfulfilled desires. It’s a war for supremacy.

It’s a curse we humans EVOLVED with. Cursed to Love, to feel, and be happy, curse of Emotions.

Self Belief and Respect

Belief in self, if accomplished is the biggest motivation that a man can have. But it is one of the most difficult things to achieve. To understand the word better let’s break down the two words: Self and Belief.
What is Self? This is an all important question that every one should ask to self. Every one in the world is selfish. They live for themselves. They do what they think is right. They act for the people they love. Even die for something they love the most. Every single act is carried by self is for self.
Yet most of us fail to realize the "real" self within. We chase for dreams that were never ours. We neglect the one we love, for nothing. We never bother to think what we really want. Knowing this "real" self is the first step to self Belief.
To be face to face with self, we need to shed all presumptions we have of ourselves. Introspect and only when you can completely vaporize the image of self, you will know your “real” self. There will be room for no one. You care for none. All your actions will only be for you. You live your ideology. Just you, your love your life.

Once you know “SELF”, let’s see what belief is. Simply put belief is unquestioned devotion. Where there are no doubts. So Self Respect is such a huge force that can defy impossible. Because first we know what we want and what our abilities are and then we know that we will achieve the target.

Respect, the other aspect is as important as self-belief. Respect here means respect to others, your friends and foe, strong and week, intelligent and dumb. Respect will help you in judging their strength. You understand them better. Apart from the interior benefits it makes you feel good and passes the same aroma around. It makes the world around you a better place to live.

I leave the interpretation onto you, but what I will talk about is after the road is taken, whichever it is, wherever it has led you.

There are things we regret, moments we cherish, hate and love, depressed and enjoyed, we all have it, may be in a different order. And most often than not it is we who decide this order. Sometimes we come across a juncture where we have to make decision, where we have to choose.

• There are decisions that we regret for the rest of our life. Played upon by life, realize the web that it has woven, ensuring we never smile again. We find ourselves lacking the energy to fight back; sunk in the guilt of our actions, convinced we have no right to smile again.
• There are decisions we cherish. Look back upon it and know we have made the right choice. Praise our actions and ready for the next challenge in life.
  

This may not be the fate of two different people taking two different paths. It may well be the case when the decision taken is absolutely the same. The difference is in how we approached it. Life can play upon it only if we allow it to do so. We may gain from the insight and experience of others, but it is your life and no one else knows better what to do than yourself. We are humans and not Gods and hence have got a birth right to commit mistakes. Mistakes are as important as our daily meals.

The difference is in how we approach our mistakes, to accept mistakes and have the courage to say it as our own to whoever concerned. You at every step should know what you are doing and what your actions might do. Your actions might be driven by intellect or emotions, morality or lust but they are your own and you should ride on them rather than be driven on by them. Then there shall be no regrets, no tears. Just a realization of your actions. You may want to confess and perform actions that can redeem your self. But you should not repent. Remember it is the realization of your actions within that change the world around you that you live in.

People who are often on top of there actions are happier in life. Because irrespective of what they get, they know that it is the result of there own actions. These actions may not always give results as planned, in fact may go terribly bad. But instead of breaking down they look back, convinced to minimize the damage done, and act in a way that can better the situation or at least does not worsen in further. It is this ability to think when things are not going your way that distinct a person who plays with life to the one played upon.

Without Tears

As always, we leave this to the great healer, time. There exists a phobia, fear of showing up feelings, exposing the emotional self. Often emotion is associated by weakness, vulnerability of man, rather than a very natural human characteristic. Something’s in life strike without warning and a few due for long. It hurts when you feel weak, unable to control. You know nothing can be done and its time to let it go. It’s the time you say goodbye.

Fearless eyes hide the pain beneath,
And a raised head covers the void.
With a grace I stepped forward,
To say GOODBYE.
But then dumbstruck,
I stood like an idiot
Praying the moments never passes by.
Sill you stay somewhere near,

Lovely Arrangement

This time it’s not a dream, but a serious thought that came out of these dreams. I dream of love, god, religion, always trying to catch the ultimate. And these topics existed since the existence of intellectual man. The future always look down on past as old and out of fashion and past thinks of future as immature and impulsive. It is the present that holds the responsibility to bind the two. It knows that past may be out of energy but it certainly has the experience. They may look unimaginative and stubborn, but may be they have seen what we try. The future on the other hand, is like a budding flower, a chick just out of its shell. It feels the world around and likes to experiment. They have the energy and will.

I feel lucky enough to be born in an age that has seen a huge transformation in so little time. Both technologically and socially an era ended in half a decade. Never before there existed so many ideologies. The real world was wrapped beautifully in a well conceptualized virtual world. Here the power need not be shown but felt. Human desires felt the need of new meaning to present relations. Need and lust weighted over love and understanding.

When we see this world we mould ourselves according to the rules of evolution and existence. We define our rules that help us and our near ones to live better. These rules come through experience of society out of a very complex and complicated network of physical, emotional, social and philosophical needs. When the network around us tweak a bit, there comes a need for change in rules. This brings a shift in power from the old generation to the new one.

Its important to change with time, but to make sure we don’t reinvent the wheel, we need to learn from experience, the past. While we redefine something as fundamental as relations, we need to be very sure of its need and importance. How and why it evolved?

If asked about a relation as important as choosing a spouse. We get in a tangle of love v/s arranged. Arranged marriage evolved because love, often young, makes selection that tremble the foundations of society. They often don’t think of future and act on impulse. The stint of happiness is often mistaken for an everlasting, selfless pleasure of love. This results in bickering and discomfort ending the perfect world as soon as the spell is over. Arranged marriages constructed “LOVE” with understanding and dependence. But why ?

Well.. relations are different from love. Love acts only as a glue. It binds you together. The strength of your love determines the stress it can take, and once it crosses threshold the bond breaks. Infact the situation is pretty dangerous to society as it creates a resistance for further bindings and creates a void. This void often reflects to society in form of bitterness. Marriages in supervision of family and loved once help cultivate love. Relations teach us how to love. It not only binds but also hold the pieces together is moment of stress. The impetus of care slowly converts to divine love. Moreover it’s not necessary that you receive love from the same person you love. Such situations further complicate and create an environment where “LOVE BUSSINESS” booms.

It’s an old age saying: “Marry a person who loves you”. It’s fantabulous to get love from a person you love and also have a willing consent of family. But one should consider itself lucky if loved by someone, apart from our parents. It’s more important to have a spouse who loves you and care for you, rather than a spouse you love.

ANOTHER search for "THE TRUTH"

WELL.... It had been silence for long here. I was pretty much occupied.. not by work but by thoughts. Pulled deep in the webs that i have woven . And guess what!!! The answer once again was in my dreams... An impossible out of the world situation, where religious leaders and scholers all sat at one place, without quarelling and abusing anyone. They all listened to me and answered.
I was really very confused tensed and irritated as all my efforts to know religion and god seems to be going waste. It is then that I decided to ask these questions to a few scholars. High in the ranges of himalayas, there lied a desert where sun never sat. It was here i asked them the questions about the truth. Now with their help I have developed a theory that looks logical in defining GOD, Religion and evolution.

I will start with a story first....

Once there was a king who was desperately searching for the perfect religion and true God.
He invited all the scholars of the world and started off a debate. Even after 15 months he couldn’t be convinced. Then there came a person who told the king that he can show the king the perfect religion.... but only at the other end of the river which was in front of them. King happily ordered a boat, but the saint rejected the boat pointing to some imperfection. The king ordered another and this one was also rejected. king did everything possible to convince him but the saint was not ready. Finally the king ordered his men to forcefully put the saint in a boat and sailed towards the other end.

When they reached the other end the saint said to the king. "Religion is like a boat which helps us to cross the river called life. Most religions can help you cross this river, you can choose to swim, create your own boat but you have to cross the river.

Now here onwards all comments are what I can compile. It will be difficult to differentiate the comments by a single person because i dont know who said it.

Now on the question what is religion?? Why religion?? And how did religion evolved??

Man has walked on this earth for longer than before recorded history. Even the archaeologists know very little about the cultural beliefs and practices of early man. We assume that they had some sort of transcendent belief because of the manner in which they buried their dead.

It is not until the agricultural developments around 10,000 BCE that man begins to have a sense of cultural identity. As mankind started living in large groups, it is highly probable that the rudiments of what we, today, call "religion" began to formulate. This is not to say there weren't belief structures before societal man.

Man at a point of time was no better than an animal. All he could think of is survival, food and shelter. Clearly with no society in place there was no religion and no concept of God (animals donot have religious beliefs). As and when the evolution happened and man started living in groups. They started using that special weapon (BRAIN) that was way above the rest in vicinity. It all started with that special gift of (COMMUNICATION) that man became organized and started to socialize. Survival may have been the chief reason to it.

***One of the Acharyas (TEACHER) was very keen to know how did communication skill came to man. How did this evolved where he was convinced that it did not fall in the very important needs that can bring evolution. WE wondered that whether it was the power to imitate that brought this. Only a single spark , the first letter or first signal may have started the process but we wondered on what caused the first spark.***


Coming back to the topic. What created religion is really the Fear.
Man became powerful and greedy of more power. He started achieving impossible, they gathered more than what is required and had ample of time left. He feared every thing that couldn’t be explained by him. Even the most intellectual could not explain. They wanted answers for all that was there, unexplained, created, and all that happens beyond any observable force.

All factors like Lightning, Eclipse moving of object through magnetic fields was considered an act of GOD. Even the most enlightened who believe that each and every thing has an explanation, and every thing is governed by a law that cannot be broken or altered, felt good to have the image. The powerful became rulers and societies evolved. The rules were set and the need for some rules that cannot be broken or questioned arise. These rules, mostly did not have any direct effect and demanded a few restrains were designed to make the life easier. These set of rules turned into religion and every word of these rules believed to come from GOD.

On why so many religions?

The number of religions that existed on earth cannot be determined. Evolution of religions is not very different from reproductive system. The number of followers determined the popularity of a religion and hence its base. The set of rules and emotional as well as social satisfaction that a religion provided to its follower determined its popularity. Most religions raised and felled by the actions of its religious leader.

· So do we have a God?
This Question had a peculiarity that each answer started with something like this.

“ Yes, Undoubtedly there is a God. And I knew that this was going to come.”

I will pick few of the most convincing answers.

“If I abuse your father, would you be angry. Why? I only abused someone who is your father. It is the association that you make to that person whom you love. Why do you love him…?”

“ I said there is a god that governs all that happens, that know all that happened and who is responsible for all that will happen…. You don’t believe me ok who do you think he is….”

“GOD… If it does not exists what do you think the word means”

LETS CALL IT –“ MY DREAM PROJECT”

WOW!!! How can I get into this. It would be so nice if somehow I get into it. Can I get invisible? Ah how powerful I would be if I can be invisible. First I will get rid of all those headless creatures around. They always bug me. Even if I can’t get invisible if I can just extend the limit of my mind so that I can read others or if I could just posses some extraordinary powers. WOW I can be a superman I can fly I can see through things. I have an X-ray vision. OH yes I need an x-ray vision you know after all its good for health. Even research has proved having an X-ray vision gives you half an hour of aerobics by just looking around in five minutes it would be wonderful if I can control an X-ray device through my brains I would also have a rocket propulsion unit and would replace all my bones with a super-powerful hydraulic unit. But I would require a lot of money and who would invest in this idea that would give them nothing. HEEHEE!!! May be I should write a blog and convince people to help me and sponsor me. A real diplomatic writing and let fools come in front. What would be the title “making world a better place” naaaaaaaaa then ok LETS CALL IT “ MY DREAM PROJECT”. This could attract some techy fools.

First of I am extremely sorry for you if you are reading this. And please make me understand some of my ideas as soon as you understand them. Why the title “My Dream Project” just because the idea of it came in my dreams. Seriously I am astonished by the power of the human brain. Undoubtedly it is the world’s most powerful processor is running only a single machine that’s individual bodies. No doubt a man utilizes only some 2-3% of his brain at max (may be even less). Please don’t rush to me to beat me up as this thought came, while I was deep in my dreams.
The thought was why not provide some auxiliary intelligent input output units to brain to utilize its processing power. An input unit which provides inputs to brain in a way none of our sensory organ gives, just for an example’s sake why not attach an antenna that tunes itself to a frequency range as instructed by the brain and captures the signal and passes it to brain. Just look at it, what a utility it can be, you can introspect your favorite television serials or the best of songs aired without having a television or radio. Put up a speaker and mic in classroom and you can attend the class while enjoying your sleep.
Really I feel this project has some very bright future prospects and it can drive the world crazy. Moreover I feel that’s possible what we need to find out or know is the interface in this brain which takes input from any other sensory organ and the form in which the information is carried out to hands or any other body part, and this should not be that difficult for our scientists to find out. And don’t worry about the dummy on which to test this idea. We can always experiment this on a lot of people around me of whom I think have no brains at all, or even if they have it is of no use. Seriously we should carry on with this project if not for the sake of me, for the sake of science, even if not for science for the sake of society as this can help us get rid of those brainless creatures of whom I wanted to get rid from the very beginning.
What am I talking, have I gone out of senses, no I think I am writing a blog, oh who the hell is knocking at my doors, oh no I have left my laptop at the lab, no don’t worry no one will take it.
